Who is the Star Plasma Vessel in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Riko Amanai’s role
Riko Amanai is the Star Plasma Vessel at the center of the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death storyline. Her role places her at the heart of a mission driven by the jujutsu world’s need for Tengen’s merger, but she is also a young person with relationships and a life beyond that designation.
Misato Kuroi and Shiu Kong
The official character profile identifies Misato Kuroi as Riko’s caretaker. After Riko lost her parents when she was young, Kuroi cared for her as a member of her family. The profile also says Shiu Kong, a former police officer, recruited Toji Fushiguro for the assassination job against Riko. These details make the conflict personal: Riko is not simply a ritual component, but someone cared for by others and targeted because of her role.

Why does Tengen need to merge with the Star Plasma Vessel?

What happened to Riko Amanai?
Riko is the target of the assassination job that Shiu Kong recruits Toji Fushiguro to carry out. That puts the Star Plasma Vessel mission in direct conflict with Riko’s life and agency: the merger is presented as a necessity for the jujutsu world, while Riko is an individual whose future is at stake.
