Why Julie Chrisley was scheduled for resentencing
In June 2024, the Eleventh Circuit upheld Todd and Julie Chrisley’s convictions but found an error in the calculation of Julie’s sentence. The appeals court said she had been held accountable for the entire bank-fraud scheme and sent her case back to the district court to make the relevant findings and resentence her. Todd’s sentence was upheld in that appeal.

The ruling did not overturn either conviction. The jury had found the couple guilty in 2022 of offenses including bank fraud and tax evasion. The Associated Press reported that the fraud involved more than $30 million in loans.
When and where was the hearing?
On July 25, 2024, WSB-TV reported that the resentencing hearing was set for September 25 at the federal courthouse in downtown Atlanta. It took place on that date.

What sentence did the judge impose?
The judge imposed seven years in prison. At the hearing, Julie’s attorney, Alex Little, asked for a sentence of no more than five years. Federal prosecutor Annalise Peters urged the judge to impose seven years. The Associated Press reported that Little characterized the offenses as “scattered offenses” and “dramatic mistakes”; those were arguments for a reduced sentence, not findings by the court.
The DOJ Office of the Pardon Attorney’s clemency record lists Julie’s amended sentence as 84 months’ imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and $4,740,645.04 in restitution. The record says the sentence was amended on September 25, 2024.

What happened after resentencing?
Atlanta News First, citing the Associated Press, reported on October 14, 2024, that Julie appealed the resentencing term. Separately, the DOJ Office of the Pardon Attorney’s clemency list includes her in the pardon group dated May 28, 2025. The 2024 hearing date and sentence describe the court proceeding at that time; the later pardon is a separate development.
