The Jonas Brothers’ concert at Prague’s O2 Arena stopped for several minutes on October 15, 2024, after a spectator used a prohibited laser pointer, according to the venue. Nick Jonas ran offstage during the interruption; the band later resumed the performance.
Why did the Jonas Brothers show stop in Prague?
An O2 Arena Praha spokesperson said the performance was interrupted for several minutes because someone in the audience used a prohibited laser pointer. The spokesperson’s statement, quoted by ABC News, said the event organizers responded and the band continued after a few minutes.
ABC News reported that Nick Jonas ran offstage while making a time-out gesture. The available accounts establish that he left the stage during the incident, but do not establish that the laser struck his eye or caused an injury.
What happened to the person with the laser?
CNN Prima NEWS reported that venue security escorted the person out. Czech police spokesperson Jan Rybanský said police had been informed that the concert stopped because a spectator was shining a laser at the singers. He said the organizer was handling the situation and could report the incident to police.

The police account reported by CNN Prima NEWS does not confirm an arrest, charge, or other legal outcome. It would therefore be inaccurate to say the spectator was arrested.
