This is an editorial ranking, not an official Naruto franchise list. It weighs demonstrated finishing power, defense, control over an opponent, versatility, and constraints—not just destructive force. Susanoo’s Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror are treated as parts of one entry, so the same defensive-offensive form is not counted three times.
The official Naruto pages directly support the first four entries below. They do not establish an official ranking, and the sources reviewed do not verify enough additional Itachi-specific techniques to responsibly fill positions five through ten. Rather than pad the list with uncertain candidates, this ranking stops where the cited evidence does.
1. Susanoo with the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror
Susanoo takes the top position because it combines protection with a demonstrated fight-ending attack. The NARUTO OFFICIAL SITE’s recap of the Itachi–Sasuke battle describes Susanoo as a protective chakra form and recounts Itachi using the Totsuka Blade to seal Orochimaru. That pairing gives the technique both defensive value and a confirmed finishing result.
The Yata Mirror is included as part of this combined Susanoo entry, not as a separate jutsu. The cited recap does not establish that the mirror is invincible, so this ranking makes no such claim.

2. Tsukuyomi
Tsukuyomi is a devastating Mangekyō Sharingan genjutsu and a central weapon in Itachi’s confrontation with Sasuke. In the battle recap, Itachi subjects Sasuke to an apparent eye-gouging illusion. But it is not an unavoidable victory: the official episode listing for “Amaterasu!” says Sasuke breaks free using the power of his Curse Mark. Tsukuyomi ranks just below Susanoo because its control is formidable, while the scene itself demonstrates that it can be resisted.
3. Amaterasu
Amaterasu is another major Mangekyō technique used in the brothers’ battle. Its place here reflects its demonstrated threat, but the official recap does not support claims that it burns absolutely anything or cannot be stopped. It also records that continued Sharingan and ninjutsu use depletes both brothers’ chakra, so Amaterasu should not be described as cost-free or treated as an unlimited attack. 4. Izanami
Izanami earns its place for specialized control rather than broad destructive power. The official episode listing for “Izanagi and Izanami” says Itachi uses the technique to trap Kabuto’s mind. It also explains Izanami’s purpose in relation to Izanagi: it was developed to curb Uchiha abuse of that other technique. That makes Izanami a potent tactical answer in the right circumstances, though its specialized role makes it less universally useful than the higher-ranked entries.

The official pages cited here recount particular scenes; they do not publish a ranking or substantiate enough additional Itachi-specific techniques to support ten entries. Yasaka Magatama, Kotoamatsukami used through Shisui’s eye, Transcription Seal: Amaterasu, Great Fireball Technique, and Crow Clone Technique are possible candidates, but the available evidence does not establish their relevant use and standing for this list. Adding them as settled entries would give the appearance of certainty without the supporting scene-level basis.

For readers comparing the four established entries, the distinction is functional: Susanoo combines defense and a sealing finisher; Tsukuyomi attacks perception but can be broken; Amaterasu is a major offensive threat that must be considered alongside chakra expenditure; and Izanami traps a target’s mind for a particular tactical purpose.
