Kylie Minogue launched the Tension Tour at Perth’s RAC Arena on 15 February 2025, drawing a sellout audience of 13,500, according to promoter Frontier Touring. Fans had gathered outside the venue hours before the show, PerthNow reported.
Perth was the tour’s opening stop
Frontier Touring announced the 2025 tour in September 2024, naming Perth as its first stop. Minogue said then: “I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025. I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more!” (Frontier Touring, 19 September 2024.)
The Perth concert on Saturday, 15 February 2025, marked the tour’s opening night. RAC Arena general manager Michael Scott called the occasion “a huge moment” and said the venue was excited to host the world-tour launch (RAC Arena, 9 February 2025).
Frontier Touring reported a 13,500-person sellout
In its opening-night recap, published 16 February 2025, Frontier Touring reported that the RAC Arena show sold out to 13,500 people. That is the promoter’s reported audience figure, rather than an independently stated count (Frontier Touring, 16 February 2025).

Fans gathered outside before the concert
PerthNow journalist Caleb Runciman reported that crowds assembled outside RAC Arena hours before Minogue’s return to Western Australia. The report did not give a count for the people gathered outside.
PerthNow also spoke with Perth local Kevin Winder, who said the concert was his 45th time seeing Minogue and recalled earlier performances. That is Winder’s account of his own concert history, not a measure of the wider crowd (PerthNow, 15 February 2025).

RAC Arena hosted rehearsals before opening night
RAC Arena said the venue had been booked for production rehearsals for months before the first performance. The arena described advance rehearsal bookings as common for artists beginning a global tour. Its statement also said hirers are responsible for the details needed to secure preferred dates; it does not establish that Minogue or her team caused any separate scheduling decision.
The opening-night recap named songs, not a complete setlist
Frontier Touring’s recap cited “On A Night Like This,” “Padam Padam,” “Confide In Me” and “Say Something” among the songs performed. These are examples named by the promoter, not a full setlist.
