SheFinds’ reproduced headline supports the plaid description, not the Scotland-visit attribution.
That means the headline should not be treated as proof that Catherine wore the plaid coat on the Isle of Bute. Any shopping reference to this look would need to be framed as a similar green-and-blue plaid coat, not the verified item worn by her.
The documented Isle of Bute visit was a different look
On September 17, 2026, Catherine and Prince William made their first official visit to the Isle of Bute. Reports describe the couple in earth tones: Catherine wore a chocolate-brown trench over green knitwear with brown trousers and boots, while William wore an olive jacket with brown layers and navy trousers. Harper’s Bazaar’s account and ABC News’ September 18 report describe the Isle of Bute outfits; neither identifies them as the plaid-coat look.

Those product names are that outlet’s identifications, not official confirmation. Dress Like A Duchess’ outfit identifications provide that attribution.
William’s reported outfit
Harper’s Bazaar describes William in an olive-green jacket over a brown sweater and white shirt, with navy trousers and brown boots. The common olive and brown shades create a coordinated palette without matching garments. As a practical style reading, the trench functions as an outer layer, the knitwear adds warmth, and the cap provides headwear suited to changeable weather; these are interpretations of the reported pieces, not documented statements about the couple’s intentions.
