The King’s Birthday Parade, commonly known as Trooping the Colour, took place in London on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Catherine traveled to the ceremony in a carriage with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, watched the parade, and later appeared with the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast. The day before the event, Kensington Palace confirmed that she would attend. In her personal statement, published in full by ITV News on June 14, 2024, Catherine said she was making progress but that treatment was ongoing and expected to continue for a few more months. She described experiencing good and bad days during chemotherapy and said she was “not out of the woods yet.” The statement did not disclose the type of cancer.
