Yes. In October 2025, the singers behind HUNTR/X—EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami—made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live as a trio, marking their first live performance together, according to Netflix Tudum. The animated characters did not appear in the studio; the real-life performers behind their songs did.
Who sang for HUNTR/X on SNL?
HUNTR/X is the fictional K-pop group in Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters. Its singing voices are EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami. They appeared together on SNL as the performers associated with the group, rather than as the animated characters themselves. Netflix describes the appearance as part of the trio’s first live performance together.

Was “Golden” performed in full on SNL?
The SNL appearance should not be confused with the first full live performance of “Golden.” Netflix identifies that song’s live-performance debut as an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Associated Press reported on September 29, 2025, that the trio was scheduled to perform “Golden” live on the show on October 7. These were separate television events: SNL was the trio’s surprise appearance, while the Tonight Show was the reported debut performance of the song.
Why the appearance drew attention
The performance brought the film’s singing trio together live after HUNTR/X’s music had reached a large audience. Netflix has cited more than 7 billion global streams and four simultaneous songs in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10. The retrieved Netflix article does not state the measurement cutoff for either figure, so they should be understood as figures Netflix reported, not as a current total or a dated chart snapshot.
