The Jonas Brothers postponed four concerts in Mexico in May 2024 after Nick Jonas reportedly came down with influenza. The affected Mexico City and Monterrey shows were rescheduled for August 2024; the refund-request window reported at the time has since closed.
Which Jonas Brothers concerts were postponed?
The affected shows were scheduled for May 3 and 4 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, followed by May 6 and 7 at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey. The postponement was announced May 3, the day the first Mexico City concert was due to take place. Contemporaneous Mexican coverage reported the four affected dates.
Why were the shows postponed?
Nick Jonas reportedly disclosed that he had influenza. The event organizers cited his health and said he was unable to deliver the concert quality Mexican audiences deserved. TV Azteca reproduced the organizers’ statement in Spanish: “Al público en general les informamos que por cuestiones de salud de Nick Jonas se ve imposibilitado para ofrecer un concierto de la calidad que merece su público mexicano”. TV Azteca’s report attributes that wording to the organizers, not to Jonas.
What were the new concert dates?
| City and venue | Original date | Rescheduled date |
|---|---|---|
| Mexico City, Arena CDMX | May 3, 2024 | August 21, 2024 |
| Mexico City, Arena CDMX | May 4, 2024 | August 22, 2024 |
| Monterrey, Arena Monterrey | May 6, 2024 | August 24, 2024 |
| Monterrey, Arena Monterrey | May 7, 2024 | August 25, 2024 |
The replacement dates were reported by Milenio and N+; the official Jonas Brothers tour page also listed the August Mexico dates as corroboration.
