Hayek tenía 58 años cuando Vogue publicó el tutorial y la entrevista. Su idea más amplia fue que una rutina puede cambiar con el tiempo: “You have to change your makeup and beauty routine as you get older. Maybe what worked before isn’t working now. Por qué dice que no se lava la cara por la mañana
Hayek atribuye ese hábito a una enseñanza de su abuela: “My grandmother taught me not to wash my face in the morning because then you take off all the good oils that your skin works so hard all night, you know, to have.” Es decir, su abuela le enseñó a no lavarse la cara al despertar porque, según esa explicación, el lavado retiraría los aceites que la piel produce durante la noche. Máscara para manejar algunos cabellos blancos
