She is played by Lalisa Manobal, known professionally as Lisa and as a member of Blackpink. Season 3 marks her acting debut, and her first day on set came with nerves, as she described in a Variety premiere interview.
What is Mook’s relationship with Gaitok?
Mook and Gaitok have a long-standing familiarity, and Gaitok has a crush on her, TVLine reported in an interview with Manobal and Thapthimthong. Their connection is shaped by that history, while their outlooks do not always align.

Manobal told CNA Lifestyle that a Thai director asked her to leave out the polite sentence-ending “ka” when Mook speaks to Gaitok because the characters are close. She said she sometimes forgot on set that she was playing Mook rather than speaking as herself. This is a detail about how the actors shaped these characters’ familiarity, not a general rule about Thai speech.
What does Mook want?
Mook’s ambitions come into focus in Season 3, episode 7, when Gaitok says he is not pursuing a bodyguard promotion. Mook replies, “I thought you were more ambitious.” In its episode recap, TIME reads her reaction as a sign of pragmatism and a desire for upward mobility. That is a critical interpretation of the scene, rather than a formal character description.

How did Lisa prepare to play Mook?
Manobal said she took acting lessons before her first shoot and received support from people on set. She described the key challenge as making choices for Mook instead of defaulting to her own instincts: “For me, the challenge was [thinking] if Mook was in this situation, how is she gonna react or [what is she going to] say to Gaitok – and not just [thinking about what] Lisa [would] usually say.”
She also drew on her experience staying in five-star hotels with Blackpink, saying she had observed staff and how they speak with guests. She joked that staff love small talk. Those observations gave her a point of reference for Mook’s work among resort guests.
