The thriller is Shelter, Jason Statham’s 2026 action film directed by Ric Roman Waugh. A January 15, 2026 report from Collider says Statham shared new teaser footage on Instagram. That was a promotional update about Shelter, not an announcement of a separate new film.
What did Jason Statham reveal?
Collider’s January 15 report describes Statham sharing teaser footage through Instagram. It does not establish a verified verbatim statement from the actor, so the update is best understood as new promotional footage rather than a direct quote or a new plot announcement.

What is Shelter about?
The official film site describes a reclusive man living on a remote coastal island who rescues a young girl from a deadly storm. The rescue draws both into danger and forces the man to confront his past as he tries to protect her.
Who made the film?
Shelter is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Ward Parry. The official site lists Jason Statham, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Naomi Ackie, and Bill Nighy among the starring cast, and credits Statham as a producer. Black Bear Pictures’ film page also lists Daniel Mays.

When and where can you watch it?
The official film site lists January 30, 2026 as the theatrical release date. Its at-home page lists digital buy-or-rent options through Prime Video, Fandango at Home, and Apple TV. Storefront availability can vary by territory and change over time. The pages reviewed do not establish a DVD or Blu-ray edition.
STARZ’s catalog listing gives the runtime as 1 hour 47 minutes (107 minutes); that is a provider catalog entry, not a runtime figure attributed here to the studio.
