The original headline, “James Packer jets into Perth with model girlfriend Kylie Lim,” is historical wording—not a current description of their relationship or proof that Lim was in Perth.
What PerthNow reported in February 2019
Kent Acott’s PerthNow report, published on 15 February 2019, said Packer had flown into Perth. It reported that his jet had been parked at Perth Airport the previous day and that he had spent time in Melbourne and Sydney earlier that week.
The report said Packer was understood to be staying at Crown Towers and meeting Crown executives and friends. Those were details attributed to PerthNow, not independently confirmed here. The article also said it did not know how long he would remain in Perth.
Did Kylie Lim travel to Perth with him?
The report did not confirm that Lim was in Perth. It said her presence there was unknown. It reported that Packer, Lim and his personal trainer had been photographed boarding his jet in Melbourne the previous day; that observation does not establish that Lim accompanied him on the flight to Perth. PerthNow’s account is the basis for both details.

What the article said about the jet and villa
PerthNow identified the aircraft as a Bombardier Express BD 700, described it as a twin-engine plane with 23 seats, and said it had been delivered in 2014. These are specifications as reported in 2019; they were not independently checked against manufacturer information.
The same report put the aircraft’s value at $70 million and cited a rate of $20,000 per night for the Chairman’s Villa. Those are period-specific figures in the 2019 story, not verified current values or prices. PerthNow also reported Packer’s fortune as US$3.6 billion, equivalent to A$5.06 billion at the time, and ranked him ninth-richest in Australia. Neither the estimate nor ranking should be read as current.

How the relationship label changed
The 2019 headline called Lim Packer’s “girlfriend.” In March 2026, The New Daily reported that Packer confirmed their engagement, quoting him as saying, “We are very happy to be engaged and looking forward to the future.” The New Daily’s report provides that later context.
A subsequent 2026 report by The Nightly described the couple as married and quoted Packer: “Kylie is a good person, a really good partner.” This is secondary reporting; the marriage status is attributed to The Nightly.
Background reading
PerthNow’s 2019 story names The Price of Fortune, an authorised biography of Packer, as background. Readers interested in the person behind the brief arrival report can use it as a starting point; this article does not assess a particular edition or its current availability.
