Established reporting identifies her engagement ring as a diamond by Kindred Lubeck, not as an infinity ring.
What did the infinity-ring speculation establish?
Some online discussion framed a ring Swift wore as a possible engagement hint. A Wedport search result described a ring at a family dinner as sparking fan theories, but the page could not be accessed and no primary source reviewed confirms which ring was involved, what finger it was on, or what it meant. That specific claim remains unverified.
A piece of jewelry can prompt speculation, but it cannot establish a private relationship milestone. In this case, the couple’s own announcement—not an inference from a ring—confirmed the engagement.
When did Swift and Kelce announce their engagement?
Swift and Kelce announced the engagement together on Instagram on August 26, 2025. Their caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The Associated Press reported the announcement and said Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed the ring was an “old mine brilliant-cut diamond” from Kindred Lubeck. The Associated Press report noted at the time that it was unclear when and where Kelce proposed.

What does Swift’s engagement ring look like?
Vogue describes the ring as a rounded-corner old-mine brilliant-cut diamond, bezel-set in yellow gold, with engraving on the side of the band. Its March 29, 2026 report says Kelce worked with Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. Vogue’s account of the ring also reports that Swift had previously shown Kelce Lubeck’s work.
Swift said on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton on October 3, 2025, that she had shown Kelce a video of Lubeck’s work about a year and a half earlier. When she saw the ring, she recognized the maker and said, “He listens to me! Like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex.” Vogue reproduced her comments and the couple’s announcement caption.

The reporting establishes the designer and several visible design details, but it does not provide a confirmed carat weight or price. It also does not identify the engagement ring as an infinity ring.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the engagement question still current?
No. September 2026 coverage discusses Swift’s wedding band and describes her as married. The earlier question about whether she was engaged is therefore historical, rather than an open prediction. The wedding-band coverage moves the timeline forward; it does not change what was reported about the engagement ring.
