Luke Littler topped Illicit Encounters’ 2025 “Sexiest Sportsman on the Planet” poll. The ranking came from a survey of the dating site’s UK-based female members, so it is a poll result—not a representative verdict from women worldwide.
Who is the world’s sexiest sportsman?
In Illicit Encounters’ 2025 poll, the answer was darts player Luke Littler. The publisher says it asked 2,000 UK-based female members to rate 30 male sports stars on a scale of 1 to 10 for “sexiness.” The poll was published on November 4, 2025, and the publisher’s page was updated on April 11, 2026; the result remains the 2025 ranking, not a new 2026 poll. What the ranking can—and cannot—tell you
The result records how this particular group rated the names on the ballot. Because the publisher does not provide a full sampling frame, vote shares, or margin of error, the ranking should not be generalized to women as a whole, sports fans, or people around the world.
#1 Best Overall
Illicit Encounters spokesperson Jessica Leoni described Littler’s appeal as authenticity, approachability, and confidence, calling him an “anti-supermodel sportsman.” Those remarks are the spokesperson’s interpretation; the published poll figures do not establish why individual respondents gave him their ratings.
Why a separate popularity ranking is not a comparison
YouGov’s UK measure of contemporary sports-personality popularity placed Littler 14th at 45% for data collected in the second quarter of 2026. YouGov defines popularity as the percentage of people with a positive opinion. That is a separate measure from Illicit Encounters’ sexiness poll, with a different question and population; it does not confirm or contradict the poll result. Rankings with the same kind of headline are not automatically comparable. To understand what a list represents, check who published it, when it was conducted, who responded, which names were eligible, how people were asked to rate them, and whether the results are ranks, percentages, or average scores. Without those details, two lists may look alike while measuring different things.
