In a May 2020 interview, Lisa McCune said she and her former husband, Tim Disney, lived on one property and shared the parenting of their three children. She described their approach as “dual parenting” and tied it to the children’s needs and the parents’ unpredictable work schedules. What Lisa McCune said about the arrangement
In an interview published by Australian Women’s Weekly via Now To Love on May 20, 2020, McCune said she and Disney were separated but lived on one property while raising their three children. She explained: “We all live on one property so we’re here for the kids – we have to because our work is so all over the place.”
McCune called their parenting “dual parenting,” saying: “Tim and I are very much dual parenting. We are all over them as parents. I think it takes two people a lot of the time.” Her comments describe both parents’ involvement; they do not set out a custody schedule or a formal parenting plan.
Why they shared a property
McCune connected the arrangement to two practical circumstances: the children’s needs and the parents’ irregular work. The interview took place during COVID-19 restrictions and also mentioned homeschooling. It presented the setup as the family’s situation at that time, not as general advice for separated parents.

What is known about their family
The 2020 interview says McCune and Disney met while working on Blue Heelers, married in 2000 and had three children. The West Australian’s May 21, 2020 report corroborated the central account of their shared property and parenting. It listed the children as Remy, 14, Oliver, 16, and Archer, 18, at the time; those are historical ages, not current ones.

The available reporting establishes that McCune described them as living on one property in May 2020, but it does not confirm that the arrangement continued. A September 2025 Now To Love article revisited McCune’s public comments about relationships and family without verifying the present-day living arrangement. McCune also said “I’m happily single” in the 2020 interview; that statement reflects what she said then, not a current relationship update.
