Anime-only answer: The JJK anime has not shown Gojo and Sukuna fight each other, so it has not established a winner or answered who is stronger in a direct matchup. The story is still focused on the Culling Game and the effort to bring Gojo back. The official anime story page identifies Culling Game Part 2 as the fourth TV season, currently in production.
Has Gojo fought Sukuna in the anime yet?
No. At the point covered by the official anime story page, their head-to-head battle has not been shown. The page describes the Culling Game and the characters’ goal of reviving Gojo; it does not establish an anime winner. That means an anime-only comparison can discuss their reputations and what the adaptation has shown separately, but cannot claim that one has beaten the other.
The official site identifies the Culling Game as the focus of the 2026 Season 3 story and says Culling Game Part 2 is in production as the fourth TV season. The matchup belongs to later manga material, not the anime story currently described there. Jujutsu Kaisen official anime story
What do their “strongest” titles mean?
Shueisha frames Sukuna as “the strongest in history” and Gojo as “the strongest of the modern era” when introducing their confrontation in Volume 25. Those labels establish the scale of the matchup and each character’s reputation; they are not, on their own, a verdict about who wins a fight. Shueisha’s official Jujutsu Kaisen volume list

- Fight curses and be in the action - Sukuna is regarded as one of the most powerful cursed spirits in history and is now incarnated inside Itadori, who is his vessel after eating Sukuna's finger. He has made deals with Itadori to help him overcome challenges, but took Yuji's body hostage by taking out his heart and forcing him to make a binding vow. Sukuna is the main antagonist in the show and a real challenge to everyone who faces him, including Yuji who is trying to hold onto control of his body

Manga spoilers: who wins Gojo vs. Sukuna?
Spoiler: In the manga, Sukuna wins their battle. Shueisha’s Volume 27 synopsis explicitly describes “Gojo’s defeat” and then says Sukuna continues fighting Kashimo. This is the manga outcome, not something the anime has shown at its current story point. Shueisha’s Volume 27 listing
What makes the manga fight close?
Shueisha’s Volume 26 synopsis describes repeated simultaneous Domain Expansions and technique recovery, then points to Mahoraga’s summoning as a turning point: Gojo can no longer use his Domain Expansion. The publisher’s summary supports those broad beats, but not every tactical detail of the fight. Shueisha’s Volume 26 page

- Anime-only: No direct fight has been shown, so there is no on-screen answer to who is stronger.
- Manga spoilers: Sukuna wins the confrontation, while the publisher’s descriptions still distinguish him as strongest in history and Gojo as strongest of the modern era.
The manga is complete: VIZ identifies Volume 30 as the final volume and summarizes the closing Itadori–Sukuna battle. The anime adaptation is behind that material. VIZ’s Jujutsu Kaisen catalog
