What happens in the finale?
Mark returns home to confront Angstrom. Angstrom uses his ability to send Mark through dimensions, and Debbie tries to intervene. When she is injured, Mark’s anger takes over: he pummels Angstrom, then finds himself stranded in a desolate dimension.
The episode moves beyond that confrontation to show the consequences of Mark’s displacement. A future version of the Guardians finds him, and a future Eve tells Mark she has feelings for him. Elsewhere, the Immortal reunites with the original Kate, the search reaches Ka-Hor’s tomb, and Allen gets to Nolan in a Viltrumite prison. These threads widen the finale beyond Mark and Angstrom, while leaving Mark’s return and the future relationships unresolved.

What does the ending mean?
Mark wins the immediate fight but does not come away in control of the outcome: he is left isolated in a different dimension. The moment also makes the cost of his rage tangible. Debbie’s injury is the trigger for his violent response, but defeating Angstrom does not undo the harm or bring Mark straight home.
The future Guardians’ arrival turns the ending into a bridge to another version of events rather than a simple escape. Future Eve’s confession adds an emotional complication, while the other storylines—especially Allen reaching Nolan—keep the season finale connected to the wider conflict. The episode does not resolve all of these threads in its closing moments.

Who is Angstrom Levy?
Angstrom Levy is the old enemy at the center of the finale. His ability to move Mark between dimensions lets him attack Mark by disrupting his surroundings, not only by fighting him directly. The confrontation becomes personal when Debbie is hurt, pushing Mark into the uncontrolled violence that leaves him stranded.
Who made the episode?
Rotten Tomatoes’ episode listing credits Tanner Johnson as director and Robert Kirkman as screenwriter. Its cast listing names Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man, and Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson.
