2019: On-screen romance brings renewed attention

The Associated Press reported that People attributed the engagement news to a family source; AP said the couple’s representatives did not respond to its request for comment. In an Esquire interview, Holland was asked whether he had contacted family members about AI-generated wedding images. “No, because they were all there,” he replied, then added, “That’s all you’ll get on that.” The Associated Press characterized the exchange as an apparent confirmation of the marriage; the Guardian also reported it as confirmation.
