The “$13 million” figure attached to Michael B. Jordan’s Encino farmhouse was its January 2023 asking price—not a confirmed sale price. The gated, farmhouse-style property was listed again in 2026 at a lower price, but the available reports do not establish that it later sold.
What is the Encino farmhouse?
Architectural Digest described the home in January 2023 as a gated compound on about half an acre in Encino, with a charcoal-gray farmhouse-style exterior, an attached three-car garage and a 20-foot wood-paneled front door. The feature put its size at approximately 12,300 square feet, with eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and four half-baths. Architectural Digest’s January 2023 feature details the property as it was presented at that time.
Later coverage gives a different area figure. Realtor.com reported in July 2026 that the house, built in 2021, spans nearly 11,600 square feet on a half-acre lot. A September 2026 listing snapshot gave 11,599 square feet, eight bedrooms and 0.51 acres. These are source- and date-specific descriptions; they do not establish that the home’s size changed.
Inside: the reported design and amenities
The 2023 Architectural Digest description emphasizes indoor-outdoor living, with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Reported features include a pool with attached spa, an outdoor kitchen and a cabana with a fireplace. Inside, the home was described as having a gym, massage room, soundproof theater and elevator, as well as a two-story guest house.

Realtor.com’s July 2026 account highlighted a 20-foot pivot door, a kitchen with Miele appliances and oak cabinetry, two kitchen islands, and a floating staircase. It described an elevator connecting the home’s three levels. The reports offer complementary snapshots of the property, not a single independently verified inventory of every feature.
Why is it called a $13 million home?
The rounded figure comes from the January 2023 listing. Zillow’s property history records an asking price of $12,998,000 on January 9, 2023, which Architectural Digest characterized as just under $13 million. That is a listing price, not evidence of a sale at that amount.

What the price history does—and does not—show
The records document multiple listing periods and changing asking prices. They do not, by themselves, explain why the property was listed, establish a realized profit or loss, or confirm a later sale. The reviewed 2026 coverage shows an asking price, not a completed transaction. Claims about the owner’s motives or current ownership would go beyond what these sources establish.
