The 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards red carpet brought sheer lace, champagne satin, sunflower yellow and plenty of personality to The Star in Sydney on August 16, 2026. There is no official best- or worst-dressed list: the picks below are an editorial read of the looks described in published red-carpet galleries, judged by silhouette, colour, texture and how coherently each styling choice comes together.

How these looks are judged

“Best” and “worst” are subjective red-carpet labels, not Logies awards or a universal ranking. This selection focuses on styling choices rather than the people wearing them: a strong look has a clear point of view, uses its silhouette and materials purposefully, and feels coherent from garment to accessories. The descriptions available in ABC News, The Australian Women’s Weekly and Marie Claire Australia galleries do not establish designers, prices or a complete view of every outfit, so the judgments here are limited to the details those publications report.

Standout looks

Sophie Monk: sheer lace with a dramatic finish

ABC News describes Sophie Monk in a sheer lace mermaid gown with a black satin train. The contrast between delicate lace and the stronger, glossy train gives the look two distinct textures and a clear focal point. The Australian Women’s Weekly also highlights her black lace look. On the details reported, this is the most persuasive best-dressed pick: the silhouette and fabric contrast make a statement without needing extra embellishment to explain the idea.

Julia Morris: champagne satin and a classic shape

ABC News describes Julia Morris’s gown as champagne-coloured and strapless, with a sweetheart neckline and flowing skirt. The combination reads as polished formalwear, with the soft colour and movement of the skirt doing the work rather than competing details. It is a strong, considered look, even if it takes a more classic route than Monk’s lace-and-train contrast.

Chika Ikogwe: a confident burst of yellow

ABC News notes Chika Ikogwe’s sunflower-yellow halterneck dress and full skirt. That vivid colour paired with a generous silhouette gives the outfit an unmistakable presence. It stands out for a different reason from the gowns: the colour is the central styling decision, and the shape supports it.

Emma Lung and Genevieve Hegney: two distinct fashion moods

The Australian Women’s Weekly describes Emma Lung in a 1960s-inspired mini dress with go-go boots, a deliberately retro combination with a clear visual reference. The same gallery describes Genevieve Hegney in a peach floral silk suit with orange pumps. The suit’s print and the shoes’ brighter colour make for a more playful mix. Both looks show how a specific styling idea can be more memorable than simply choosing a traditional evening gown.

The most divisive styling choice

Costa Georgiadis: maximalist, by design

ABC News describes Costa Georgiadis with colourful crocheted flowers in his hair and over his vest. This is the most deliberately unconventional styling detail in the available descriptions. It could be a best-dressed choice for readers who value personality and colour; for someone who prefers restraint, it may be the hardest look to embrace. The flowers are a coherent, repeated motif, though, so they read as a committed styling choice rather than an accidental mismatch. On that basis, this is a divisive look, not a fair “worst” pick.

Dylan Alcott: understated beside the statement looks

ABC News describes Dylan Alcott in a brown velvet blazer and black shirt. Compared with the vivid colour, dramatic trains and expressive accessories elsewhere, that combination sounds restrained. If the brief is maximum red-carpet impact, it is the least distinctive look in this selection; if the brief is understated polish, restraint may be the point. The caption alone is not enough to call it a fashion failure, so it is the closest thing to a “worst” pick here only in the narrow sense of making the smallest visual statement.

Details that complete the picture

Marie Claire Australia identifies FRED jewellery on Ayesha Madon. That is a named jewellery detail, but the gallery description does not identify a specific item or a route to buy it. Across the other looks, the reported details—lace, satin, velvet, crochet, floral silk, bright colour and retro boots—are enough to compare styling choices, but not to infer labels, costs or availability.

ABC News published its red-carpet gallery on August 16 and updated it on August 17, 2026. Its captions provide descriptions of Monk, Morris, Alcott, Georgiadis and Ikogwe; The Australian Women’s Weekly supplies the additional descriptions of Lung and Hegney; Marie Claire Australia names Madon’s jewellery. Those are gallery descriptions, not evidence of an official ranking.
