T3 reported on August 28, 2024, that the film would be available to rent or buy digitally in the United States from August 30—not that it was joining a named subscription-streaming service. Those dates and prices are historical, not a guide to where the film is available now.
Which film did the headline mean?
It was Borderlands, the film connected to the Borderlands game series. T3 staff writer Max Freeman-Mills described its planned digital release in an August 28, 2024 article: “It’s getting a streaming release already, arriving on Friday, 30 August.” That was the journalist’s wording, not a quoted announcement from a studio or platform. What did “streaming” mean in this report?
The report described a US digital rental or purchase. Those are one-time transactions, unlike access through a subscription catalog. It did not name a subscription service, so the headline should not be read as confirmation that Borderlands joined Netflix, Prime Video, or another subscription platform on that date.
What release date and prices did T3 report?
T3 said the US digital rental and purchase release was Friday, August 30, 2024. Its article listed these prices at publication:

- Genre: Science Fiction; Action / Adventure
- Number of Discs: 2
- Number of Tracks: 0
- Playback Duration: 101
- Rating: PG13
| Digital option | Price reported by T3 in 2024 |

| Buy | $24.99 |
These are the prices in T3’s 2024 report, not confirmed current prices. The article does not establish today’s availability, storefronts, or cost.
Was it exactly three weeks after the cinema premiere?
T3’s surfaced article text does not state the cinema release date. That means the headline’s “3 weeks” interval cannot be recalculated from the information in the report alone. The confirmed detail here is T3’s reported US digital date of August 30, 2024.
