The claim that Howard Stern and his staff were criticized for ranking the “hottest” celebrities is not corroborated by the available sources. Documented Stern Show stories describe different episodes: a 2015 ranking of male staffers by guest Andy Cohen, a 2018 discussion of the show’s best-looking staffer, and separate online criticism of Stern’s remarks toward female guests in 2023.
Was there a ranking of the hottest celebrities—and backlash over it?
The sources available do not establish that Stern Show staff ranked celebrities by attractiveness or that they were “blasted” for doing so. They do not identify a celebrity list, the people who supposedly created it, or reactions tied to that alleged ranking. The related documented stories involve staffers, not celebrities, and should not be presented as confirmation of the claim.

What the documented Stern Show rankings involved
Andy Cohen ranked male staffers in 2015
On September 28, 2015, The Howard Stern Show published a ranking by Andy Cohen. The article says the show asked Cohen to rank its male staffers by sexiness and lists 12 people. It was Cohen, a guest, making the ranking—not Stern’s staff ranking celebrities.
The show discussed its “Best-Looking Staffer” in 2018
On January 23, 2018, the official show site reported that Memet Walker yielded his “Best-Looking Staffer” title to Steve Nowicki. The story describes an on-air conversation with Howard Stern and Robin Quivers about who held the title among the show’s employees.

A follow-up published January 24, 2018, reported that Andy Cohen and Natalie Maines weighed in. Cohen favored Nowicki over Walker. Maines texted Stern that Walker was “radio gold”; the article does not say she named an attractive staffer.
A separate 2023 backlash story
On May 16, 2023, TheWrap reported online criticism of a viral TikTok compilation of Stern’s lewd remarks toward female guests. That report concerns his remarks, not a staff-produced ranking of celebrities. It does not substantiate backlash over the alleged ranking.

What remains unverified
Without a source that connects a specific segment or report to the claim, it is not possible to say which celebrities were supposedly ranked, who made the list, when it aired, or what criticism followed. The documented staff-ranking stories and the 2023 backlash report are distinct events; combining them would misstate what those sources say.
