Hungry Jack’s launched Mexican-inspired versions of the Whopper and Jack’s Fried Chicken on 17 September 2024. The Mexican Whopper was described with bacon, spicy tomato relish, corn chips and jalapeños; the chicken burger was said to use Australian chicken with the same Mexican-inspired flavours. Neither burger appears on Hungry Jack’s current What’s New page, so the launch reports do not establish that they can be ordered now.
What was in Hungry Jack’s Mexican Whopper?
QSR Media Australia described the Mexican Whopper as a flame-grilled Australian beef patty with crispy bacon, spicy tomato relish, corn chips and jalapeños, served on a toasted bun. Hungry Jack’s Chief Marketing Officer Scott Baird called the range “classic Hungry Jack’s favourites with an exciting, Mexican-inspired twist,” according to the outlet.
How was the Mexican chicken burger different?
The Mexican Jack’s Fried Chicken burger used 100% Australian chicken and, in QSR Media’s description, the same Mexican-inspired flavours. The launch report did not specify a topping-by-topping build for the chicken burger, so it is not possible to confirm that it had every topping listed for the Whopper.

When did the burgers launch, and where were they available?
QSR Media Australia reported that the range became available on 17 September 2024. PerthNow also reported a Tuesday launch that day, but said the burgers would be offered at select stores. QSR Media instead described the launch as nationwide. The contemporaneous reports differ on the extent of availability, so the evidence does not settle whether every store carried them.

Are the Mexican burgers still available?
Hungry Jack’s current What’s New page, checked 8 October 2026, does not list either Mexican burger. That establishes only that they are absent from that page’s current listings; it does not establish whether they might return or be offered outside the page’s listings.
Hungry Jack’s official guide printed 1 October 2024 labels both burgers limited-time offers. It is historical allergen documentation, not confirmation of a current recipe or current availability. For allergy decisions, check Hungry Jack’s current official information rather than relying on that archived guide.

Don’t confuse the launch burgers with earlier Mexican Deluxe items
A separate Hungry Jack’s guide dated 28 November 2023 listed Mexican Deluxe variants and ingredients including spicy tomato relish, smoky chipotle sauce, jalapeños and corn chips. That earlier menu information does not establish the exact recipe of the September 2024 Mexican Whopper or Mexican Jack’s Fried Chicken.
