King said she met Copier in early 2022 while working on Give Me Your Eyes, where he was the film’s first assistant director. As she recalled during the television appearance, Copier took her to Santa Barbara, where they rented bikes and rode along the coast with their two puppies before heading to the beach.
He suggested they take photos, then got down on one knee.
