What did Nicolas Cage say about AI stealing his body?
In an interview with Susan Orlean for The New Yorker, Cage described being due to leave for a scan connected with a show and another scan for a subsequent film. He said the production process involved putting him in a computer to match his eye color and make changes. That led him to worry about how other people might use digital AI to alter or reproduce his likeness.

“They’re just going to steal my body and do whatever they want with it via digital A.I. . . . God, I hope not A.I. I’m terrified of that. I’ve been very vocal about it,” Cage told Orlean. Read the interview in The New Yorker.
Why is Cage worried about AI?
His concern is about control over his body and face as a performer: he fears that digital tools could let others use or change his likeness without regard for what he wants. He made that concern especially clear when he asked what might happen to his image after his death: “What are you going to do with my body and my face when I’m dead? I don’t want you to do anything with it!”

What does Cage mean by AI using his face after he dies?
Cage is expressing a preference that others not use his body or face after his death. The interview does not describe a specific posthumous use, establish what permissions or contract terms applied to the scans, or show that anyone used his likeness without authorization. It records his fear, not a completed act of theft.
How does Cage connect AI to artistic identity?
