Jamie Lee Curtis appears as Laurie Strode in seven Halloween movies. Count her reported, uncredited voice cameo in Halloween III: Season of the Witch, and the total is eight—but that is not a Laurie Strode appearance.
The seven Halloween movies featuring Laurie Strode
- Halloween (1978)
- Halloween II (1981)
- Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
- Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
- Halloween (2018)
- Halloween Kills (2021)
- Halloween Ends (2022)
In the 1998 film, Curtis is credited as Laurie Strode/Keri Tate on Paramount’s official page. Universal’s November 8, 2022 press release identifies her as Laurie Strode in Halloween Ends and describes it as the conclusion to the modern trilogy.

Why some counts say eight
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) steps away from the Michael Myers storyline, so it is not a Laurie Strode film. Film-credit listings report that Curtis had a brief, uncredited voice contribution, described as a telephone operator or curfew announcer. Include that cameo and a broad count of her contributions reaches eight; the conventional answer to how many Halloween movies she is in remains seven.
The official Halloween franchise film pages cover the series titles, including Halloween III. The voice cameo is reported in film-credit references rather than enumerated on the official franchise pages, so it is best treated as a qualified addition, not a Laurie Strode role.
