Brooklynn’s survival does not restore the Nublar Six to their old friendship. Season 3 begins with her former companions now the Nublar Five, while Brooklynn moves deeper into the Broker’s dinosaur-trafficking and espionage operation. The season’s central setup is a fractured alliance: the five must reckon with her rejection, and Brooklynn must navigate the risks of the criminal network she has entered.
What the Season 2 ending changes
The group had believed Brooklynn was dead. In Season 2, they learn she survived and has been living a hidden life connected to covert activity around dinosaur trafficking. Kenji finds her, and the others misread her relationship with Soyona, adding confusion and mistrust to the shock of her return. This recap is secondary reporting rather than an official episode transcript; see What’s on Netflix’s Season 2 ending recap.
The reveal is therefore not a simple reunion. Brooklynn’s friends have to confront both her absence and the fact that she does not immediately return to them. Her survival raises a harder question for the group: what does loyalty mean when a friend has kept secrets and chosen a dangerous path?
The Nublar Five face a broken friendship
The official Season 3 synopsis calls the remaining group the “Nublar Five,” reflecting Brooklynn’s separation from and rejection of her former friends. Their storyline follows the consequences of that split as they crash into new adventures, encounter old and new allies, and face more lethal dinosaurs. The premise is described in Amblin’s official series page.

#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That setup places emotional uncertainty alongside physical danger. The five do not simply need to survive dinosaur encounters; they must decide how to respond to Brooklynn’s choices and whether they can trust what they know about her. The synopsis promises allies and threats, but does not identify every ally or specify how the group’s relationships ultimately resolve.
Brooklynn moves deeper into the Broker’s network
Brooklynn’s parallel story centers on her growing involvement with the Broker’s criminal operation. The official synopsis specifically connects that network to dinosaur trafficking and espionage, and says Brooklynn’s inner turmoil grows as she becomes more involved. Her path creates a tension the season can explore without requiring the audience to assume she has embraced the Broker’s goals or knows how the conflict will end.

The key contrast is between the Nublar Five’s effort to make sense of Brooklynn’s rejection and Brooklynn’s increasing exposure to a dangerous organization. The available synopsis establishes that pressure and her inner conflict; it does not confirm her full motives, whether she plans to return to her friends, or whether the group will reconcile.
What is confirmed—and what remains uncertain
- Confirmed: Brooklynn survived, and her former friends are now described as the Nublar Five.
- Confirmed: Brooklynn is becoming more involved in the Broker’s trafficking and espionage operation, with growing inner turmoil.
- Confirmed: The five encounter old and new allies and face more lethal dinosaurs.
- Not established by the season setup: Brooklynn’s ultimate allegiance, the group’s final relationship status, or the resolution of every plot thread.
These are premises, not a complete account of the season’s ending. Amblin’s listing identifies Season 4 as the series conclusion, but that later status does not by itself settle the outcomes implied by Season 3’s setup.
