Kaley Cuoco publicly welcomed Katey Sagal’s casting as Penny’s mother on The Big Bang Theory, calling Sagal her TV mom and celebrating their reunion. The reported comments capture Cuoco’s reaction to the casting announcement; they do not provide a detailed account of how she felt privately while filming.
Cuoco’s response to Sagal’s casting
After Sagal was announced as Penny’s mother, Cuoco posted: “Yes yes yes yes !!!” and “Once my tv mom, always my tv mom ? love you@kateylous !!!!! #fullcircle.” Entertainment Tonight reported the post on July 22, 2016, describing Cuoco as thrilled to be reunited with her former television mother. The spelling and punctuation here follow the wording ET published.

Why the casting felt like a reunion
Sagal had played Cuoco’s mother on 8 Simple Rules from 2002 to 2005. On The Big Bang Theory, Sagal played Susan, Penny’s mother, in the Season 10 premiere. TV Guide described the appearance as a mother-daughter reunion.
The show’s executive producer, Steve Molaro, also framed the casting as a reunion, telling ET: “There will be a little reunion there, which we’re excited about.” TVLine reported that Sagal was happy to play Cuoco’s mother again, quoting the producers’ account of what she had told the show: “She is always happy and ready to play Kaley [Cuoco]’s mom”. That is a reported account, not a direct interview quote from Sagal.

What the comments do—and do not—show
Cuoco’s published response makes her enthusiasm about the casting clear, and the prior mother-daughter roles explain the “full circle” reference. But the reported post was a reaction to the announcement, not a detailed description of her feelings on set or after filming. The available coverage does not establish a fuller private account of their off-camera relationship.
