Spoilers for the ending of Star Trek: Section 31: Jamie Lee Curtis appears as Control, the admiral whose voice is heard earlier in the film and whose face is revealed in its closing moments.
Who does Jamie Lee Curtis play in Section 31?
Curtis plays Control, the admiral behind the voice heard earlier in the film. The movie holds back the character’s face until the end, turning the casting into a final-reveal cameo rather than an early onscreen appearance. TV Insider’s January 24, 2025 report identifies Curtis as Control and describes the late reveal.

How did Jamie Lee Curtis get the role?
Director Olatunde Osunsanmi said the filmmakers discussed who could play the admiral, and Michelle Yeoh helped connect Curtis to the production. The casting makes the reveal work on two levels: the voice has already established Control as a presence, while Curtis’s appearance supplies the surprise. Space.com’s January 2025 report recounts Osunsanmi’s explanation of Yeoh’s role in making the connection.
What does Control’s appearance mean for the story?
Control’s appearance identifies the admiral behind the earlier voice; it is not, by itself, confirmation of a new film or continuation. The reporting cited here does not establish an officially confirmed sequel, so claims that the cameo guarantees one remain speculation.
