What the wedding-day photos show
The University of Arkansas Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History lists a photograph of Hillary Rodham Clinton and Bill Clinton on their wedding day in Fayetteville in 1975. Its other wedding-day listings identify the couple with Bill’s mother, Virginia Clinton Kelley, and his brother, Roger Clinton, and with friends Vic and Freddie Nixon. The living-room ceremony
In a first-person account preserved in a 2015 campaign release archived by the American Presidency Project, Hillary Clinton recalled: “We were married in the living room on October 11, 1975, by the Reverend Vic Nixon.” The Clinton House Museum identifies the setting as the couple’s Fayetteville home at 930 California Boulevard.

The ceremony was small, with family and close friends. That intimate gathering was not the same event as the larger reception later that night.
Hillary Rodham Clinton’s wedding dress
Clinton said she wore “a lace-and-muslin Victorian dress I had found shopping with my mother the night before.” The Clinton House Museum displays a reproduction, not the original dress worn in 1975. According to the museum’s collection page, Little Rock designer Connie Fails created the reproduction.

From a small ceremony to a larger reception
Friends Dr. Morriss and Ann Henry hosted a reception for more than 200 people later that evening, according to the Clinton House Museum timeline. The guest count refers to the reception, not the living-room ceremony.

Arkansas Heritage’s 2010 National Register form says Bill Clinton purchased the house in August 1975 for $17,200. That is the historical purchase price, not an estimate of the property’s current value. The house is now the Clinton House Museum.
