The pre-finale preview did not reveal who dies—or confirm that anyone dies. Nicholas Cartwright, who plays Cash Newman, teased a brutal late turn in the 2024 Home and Away finale and said two characters end up soaked in blood, but he would not say exactly what happens.
Does anyone die in the 2024 Home and Away finale?
There is no confirmed death in the pre-air material cited here, and it does not identify a victim. Bloodshed is not proof of a fatality. The available episode listing is a short synopsis rather than a full account of the outcome, so it cannot settle whether a character dies.

The Australian season finale was episode 8405, scheduled for Wednesday 20 November 2024. Its listing says Harper changes her mind, Eden is torn between two men, and Cash is driven to act; it does not name a death. Back to the Bay’s 2024 episode listings provide the episode number and synopsis.
What did Nicholas Cartwright say about the bloody confrontation?
In an interview published by PerthNow on 17 November 2024, Cartwright said the episode takes “a really quick turn” near the end and “gets quite brutal.” He described the climax as Cash arriving uninvited at Eden’s band rehearsal to talk with her about Tim, then added: “Whilst we can’t say exactly what happens, (two characters) end up soaked in blood.”

That is a deliberate teaser, not a death announcement: Cartwright did not name the bloodied characters or explain what happens to them. PerthNow reported the finale was scheduled for 7pm on Seven and 7plus in Australia.
Why does Cash confront Eden about Tim?
Cash’s concern stems from his investigation into Tim Russell, Eden’s new boyfriend and Abigail’s former counsellor. Former client Nerida Mullins tells Cash and Abigail that she and Tim dated while she was his client. Tim disputes her version. In his account to Eden, he says he tried to distance himself, referred Nerida to other counsellors and limited contact, but that she continued pursuing him.
These are conflicting accounts within a fictional storyline, not an established finding about real-world professional misconduct. The previews frame Cash’s pursuit of the matter as a source of tension, including a feud with Tim. At the rehearsal getaway are Lyrik members Remi, Eden, Kirby and Theo, alongside Justin, Bree and Tim. Back to the Bay’s 19 November preview gives a limited aftermath clue: Cash is dazed, regains consciousness and tries to stand before Justin arrives and finds a troubling scene. The preview does not explain the full circumstances or confirm a fatality.

Harper’s pregnancy is a separate high-stakes storyline. Earlier coverage says a scan found a cyst on the unborn baby’s lungs, putting pressure on organs and raising the risk of heart failure. Doctors offer in-utero surgery, which carries a risk of premature labour. The finale listing says Harper changes her mind, but the available synopsis does not state the medical outcome. Back to the Bay’s 11 November preview outlines the dilemma.
