What is Aaron Kaufman doing now?
In a March 18, 2026 interview with MagnaFlow, Kaufman discusses his work through Arclight Fabrication and his involvement in motorsports, including Stadium Super Trucks and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The interview offers a recent snapshot, not a complete project list or a confirmed schedule of upcoming races.
What is Arclight Fabrication?
Arclight Fabrication is Kaufman’s shop following his departure from Gas Monkey Garage. A Pikes Peak International Hill Climb driver profile identifies Kaufman as the company’s owner and describes Arclight as a supplier of aftermarket components for Ford F-100 pickups. That older profile establishes the shop’s documented specialty; it does not confirm what parts are currently in stock or available.
In a 2020 Street Trucks interview, Kaufman described an approach to building trucks in which details such as lighting, wiring, air conditioning and air-system plumbing are considered together. That is historical context about his project philosophy, not a current product specification or guarantee.

Is Aaron Kaufman still at Gas Monkey Garage?
No. Kaufman’s Gas Monkey Garage period is in the past. Apple TV’s listing for Shifting Gears with Aaron Kaufman says he departed the garage in 2016 and opened Arclight Fabrication in Dallas. The available sources do not report that he has returned to Gas Monkey Garage.
Is he making new TV shows?
Shifting Gears with Aaron Kaufman was a series about his personal vehicle-design projects, according to Apple TV’s listing. The sources establish the show’s premise but do not say whether new episodes are currently being produced.
