Vanessa Lachey made NCIS franchise history by starring as Jane Tennant in NCIS: Hawaiʻi, the franchise’s first series led by a woman. Tennant’s precise role was Special Agent in Charge of the NCIS Pearl Harbor field office. The milestone dates to the show’s 2021 launch; Lachey’s hosting work on Love Is Blind is separate career context, not an established reason for her casting.
