It has 9,023 pieces, 38 figures and a scene-filled interior rather than a fully enclosed spherical shell. LEGO’s US shop listed it at the same price and as available on October 8, 2026; prices and stock can differ elsewhere.
What is the $1,000 LEGO Death Star?
Set 75419 is an 18+ LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series model. LEGO announced it on September 4, 2025, with Insiders early access beginning October 1 and general availability beginning October 4. At launch, its announced prices were $999.99 in the US, £899.99 in the UK and €999.99 in the euro area. Those are launch prices, not a guarantee of current pricing in every market. LEGO’s announcement
At its 2025 launch, contemporaneous coverage described it as the most expensive LEGO set on record. That is a launch-era ranking, not a verified all-time ranking for 2026. Tom’s Guide’s September 2025 report
Why does it cost $999.99?
The set combines a 9,023-piece build with 38 figures and a large, vertically arranged interior packed with scenes from the original Star Wars trilogy. LEGO lists the model at about 70 cm high, 79 cm wide and 27 cm deep. Its relatively shallow depth and open, layered presentation make it a display model for viewing into the rooms, not a closed sphere that reproduces the station’s exterior in full.

The piece count and scale help explain what the price buys, but neither establishes value by itself. Price-per-piece does not account for the figures, the model’s structure, its functions or how well its display format suits a buyer.
What scenes and features are included?
