Guy Fieri’s clean-cut birthday makeover was a wig and a teaser for a Bosch Super Bowl advertisement, according to follow-up reporting—not an AI-generated transformation. Fieri revealed the look on January 22, 2026, his 58th birthday, joking that he would celebrate “as just a guy.”
What did Guy Fieri look like in the birthday video?
Fieri appeared with brown, neatly side-parted hair and no familiar goatee, wearing a checked button-down shirt and khaki trousers. The understated styling was a sharp contrast with the spiky blond hair and facial hair associated with his television persona.
Us Weekly reported the caption as “New Year. New Guy. New Look.” In the video, Fieri said: “Hey there! After so many years of celebrating my birthday as Guy, I figured this year I’d celebrate it as just a guy. Happy birthday to me!” Us Weekly and E! News reported the birthday post and makeover.
Why did viewers think the video might be AI?
The dramatic change prompted some viewers to speculate that the video was AI-generated. That was an early reaction, not the explanation later reporting gave. The Independent and E! News subsequently reported that Fieri wore a wig and that the disguise was part of a Bosch Super Bowl spot.

How was the look connected to Bosch?
The birthday makeover served as a teaser for the advertisement. Later coverage described a campaign featuring Fieri alongside Bosch appliances and power tools. The reports establish the ad context, but do not name a particular product model or provide a basis for recommending one. The Daily Beast reported the product categories featured in the campaign.
