People en Español publicó el 29 de enero de 2025 que Dávila había anunciado su compromiso. En la publicación, ella escribió: “To a lifetime of us”. Su madre, Chiquinquirá Delgado, comentó: “Los amo”.
Las imágenes iniciales mostraban a Dávila junto a su pareja de espaldas, además del anillo. En una cobertura posterior, Univision informó que ella mostró el rostro de su pareja en publicaciones relacionadas con San Valentín.
Dónde fue la propuesta
Univision situó la propuesta durante un viaje de la pareja a Bahamas, antes de Navidad de 2024. MamásLatinas precisó Harbour Island y describió una propuesta junto al mar. Las coberturas no indican la fecha exacta del evento.

Quién es el prometido
Las fuentes no presentan el nombre de manera uniforme. Univision señaló que Dávila había mantenido reservado el nombre de su pareja en esa cobertura. MamásLatinas lo identificó como John Lowell; ese nombre corresponde a la información publicada por ese medio y no aparece confirmado de forma coincidente en ambas notas.
Univision también reprodujo la explicación de Dávila de que seguía llamando «novio» a su pareja por costumbre y que presentar a alguien como «prometido» en español le parecía «super dramático». Esa frase se refiere a cómo hablaba de su relación, no a una retractación del compromiso.

MamásLatinas describió visualmente el anillo como un diamante de talla oval con montura de oro amarillo. People en Español confirmó que las imágenes mostraban el anillo, pero la cobertura no identifica su marca ni aporta modelo, quilataje o certificación. La descripción de estilo procede de la imagen y no equivale a una ficha técnica confirmada.
