Their accounts describe personal responses—including relief, resilience and refocusing on children or individual interests—but they are snapshots from 2019, not verified accounts of the women’s lives today.
What the 2019 feature covers
Parri’s story asks what life can look like after relationships once presented publicly as glamorous come to an end. It is an entertainment feature built around individual reflections, not a representative account of separation or evidence of what people generally experience.

The women’s accounts
Lidia Kukulj-Tinelli
PerthNow reported that Kukulj-Tinelli and Christian Tinelli separated in 2015. Looking back in the 2019 feature, she said, “I actually felt the weight was lifted off my shoulders,” and described the relationship as one that “just wasn’t really working.” The article also said she returned to television presenting, blogging and Instagram, and reported her emphasis on trying to resolve marital problems and prioritising children.

Nicole McKendry
The feature recounted the death of McKendry’s husband, Alf Piano, and the end of a later eight-year relationship in 2015. She described becoming more resilient and returning her attention to exercise and socialising. PerthNow reported that she had started a mobile makeup and skincare business and was dating Aaron McNally at the time; those details describe the article’s 2019 account, not her present circumstances. The source reproduces her remark as, “It made be stronger because it was the hardest time in my life.”
Dianne Laurance
PerthNow reported that Laurance divorced Peter Laurance in 2016. She described the challenge of starting over: “So here I was now single, no job and no home.” The feature said she sold Laurance Wines as part of the divorce settlement and was running social media pages called Dumped Wives Revenge at the time. It also quoted her saying, “At last I have found me.”
Other women mentioned
The feature gives less detail about several other women, so its brief mentions should not be expanded into fuller biographies.
- Melissa Parke is introduced following a reported amicable separation from Warwick Hemsley, but her story receives less development than the central profiles.
- Lydia Tsvetnenko is described as remaining active in Perth social life and retaining a connection to the Zhivago fashion label she co-founded after separating from Zhenya Tsvetnenko.
- Sue Gibson (also known as Wyatt), Rayne Bryant, Samara Tugwell and Natasha Butler are also briefly mentioned in connection with relationship splits and life or public profiles afterward.
How to read the accounts
The feature offers a set of personal perspectives rather than a ranking of whose experience was hardest or a universal template for moving on. Its strongest recurring themes are rebuilding, resilience, renewed attention to personal interests and prioritising children. The relationship histories and other biographical details above are what PerthNow reported in 2019; the feature does not establish the women’s circumstances in 2026.
