In announcing it, Rogan pointed to Elon Musk’s argument for Trump—not to a campaign deal or endorsement arranged by Musk. The episode became a prominent final-day moment in a campaign that also featured high-profile supporters for Kamala Harris and Trump.
Who did Joe Rogan endorse?
Rogan endorsed Trump in a post on X on November 4, 2024. He shared his interview with Musk and wrote: “For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump.” The Guardian reproduced the post, including Rogan’s explanation: “He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.” Rogan also called Musk “The great and powerful @elonmusk.” The Guardian reported the post and its context; Reuters and the Associated Press also reported the announcement.
The distinction matters: Rogan made the endorsement, and he cited Musk’s case. Musk had separately endorsed Trump. The available reporting does not establish that Rogan’s statement was paid for or made under an arrangement with Musk.
Why did Rogan’s endorsement draw attention?
The endorsement landed on the eve of Election Day and followed Trump’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience in late October. Reuters described that interview as roughly three hours long and reported that it had been released on YouTube and Spotify. At the time Reuters published its November 4 report, the YouTube video had more than 45 million views; that is a publication-time figure, not a current view count. Reuters also reported historical audience figures: 14.5 million Spotify followers for The Joe Rogan Experience in March 2024, and more than 19 million Instagram followers and 18 million YouTube followers for Rogan at the time of its November report. These figures describe different platforms and dates; they should not be added together or treated as a measure of how many voters heard or acted on the endorsement.
Rogan’s audience was not politically or demographically uniform. Reuters cited a 2023 YouGov poll finding that 81% of Rogan’s listeners were male and 56% were under 35. Those are poll findings about listeners, not evidence that his audience shared a single political view or that the endorsement persuaded them.

Which celebrities supported Harris and Trump?
News coverage named prominent supporters on both sides, but it did not establish a complete list or a comparable ranking of celebrity influence. Examples reported for Harris included Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, LeBron James, and Oprah Winfrey. Examples reported for Trump included Musk, Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock, and Rogan. These names represent selected high-profile supporters, not every endorsement made during the campaign.
The form of support varied. Some figures publicly announced a preference; others appeared at campaign events or conventions, or played a role in fundraising and political organizing. Axios’s updated 2024 campaign roundup describes several of these formats. It is a rolling sample of prominent activity, not a league table in which each person’s influence can be directly compared.

How should “biggest” endorsements be understood?
“Biggest” is best read as a description of prominence, not a measured ranking. Different measures answer different questions:
- Public visibility: A widely covered post, convention speech, rally appearance, or campaign event can make an endorsement prominent without showing how many people were persuaded.
- Audience reach: Platform follower counts and video views indicate potential exposure at a particular date, not unique viewers, attention, or changed votes.
- Campaign involvement and funding: A donor’s financial role is distinct from a celebrity’s public endorsement. Axios reported that Musk’s America PAC raised nearly $75 million over three months; that is a campaign-finance figure for the stated period, not an endorsement or audience measure.
On these different axes, Rogan’s announcement stood out for its timing, his media audience, and the attention surrounding the Trump interview. That does not make it possible to rank him against Harris’s supporters or other Trump backers using one objective scale.

What the endorsements do—and do not—show
The reporting establishes who made public statements and how those moments were covered. It does not prove that a particular endorsement changed votes or determined the election result. A large audience, a high view count, a prominent event, and campaign funding are not interchangeable evidence of voter persuasion.
Rogan’s November 4 post is therefore significant as a highly visible, late-campaign endorsement and as a clear example of how he framed his support: he endorsed Trump while pointing readers to Musk’s case. It should not be treated as proof of a measurable effect on the outcome.
