Havaianas have a documented place in fashion-week street style and celebrity-facing marketing, but the available evidence does not establish that Hollywood broadly favors them. Does Hollywood actually favor Havaianas?
There is no independent statistic in the available sources that measures how often Hollywood celebrities wear Havaianas or shows that the industry prefers the brand. Havaianas dates its history to 1962 and says its name means “Hawaiians” in Portuguese. The brand’s origin story connects the name with a tropical, endless-summer image. That is the company’s historical account, not an independently verified population statistic.

What the Gigi Hadid campaign does—and does not—show
A Kanmo Group press release described Gigi Hadid as Havaianas’ global ambassador. It quoted Maria Fernanda Albuquerque, identified as the brand’s Global Marketing Vice-President, saying: “With the endorsement of this global fashion icon, we aim to elevate flip-flops to new heights of style and recognition.” That statement describes the company’s promotional aim. It is evidence of celebrity-facing marketing, not independent proof that the campaign changed the brand’s popularity or that Hadid’s association reflects Hollywood-wide adoption. Choosing Havaianas flip-flops as a shopper
Fashion visibility does not establish which style will fit you or hold up best. The official US catalog lists Havaianas flip-flops, including the Brazil Logo style, but catalog selections can change.
