“Pookie” is the nickname used for Haliey Welch’s boyfriend in Talk Tuah coverage; Complex identified him as Kelby Blackwell. The episode most directly tied to the phrase is the September 2024 listing “I Made It Official with Pookie”, featuring guest Kaitlyn Bristowe. A separate Complex report in November described another Talk Tuah moment introducing Blackwell, so the two references should not be treated as the same episode.
Which Talk Tuah episode is about Pookie?
The official Talk Tuah episode listing is titled “I MADE IT OFFICIAL WITH POOKIE – Talk Tuah Ep. 3 with Kaitlyn Bristowe.” Its description presents Welch as making her boyfriend public and names Bristowe as the guest.
Apple Podcasts dates the listing to September 24, 2024, and gives it a runtime of 48 minutes. There is a numbering discrepancy: the episode title calls it Ep. 3, while Apple labels it Episode 4. Apple’s chapter list marks “MAKING IT OFFICIAL WITH POOKIE” at 6:36.
Who is Pookie?
“Pookie” refers to Welch’s boyfriend in this coverage. In a separate report published November 12, 2024, Complex identified him as Kelby Blackwell and reported that Welch introduced him as Pookie on a Talk Tuah episode. Blackwell told Complex: “At the end of the day, I know what I feel in my heart and that I love Haliey. So that’s just that.”

The September episode listing and the November Complex report point to distinct podcast moments. The September title and description establish that episode’s Pookie-themed announcement; the November article describes a later report of Welch introducing Blackwell. The available episode metadata does not establish that the September episode is the one covered by Complex in November.
What does the September episode cover?
The official description says Welch and Bristowe discuss love languages and breakups. It also says Chelsea joins them to talk about Talk Tuah memes. The show listing’s promotional wording says Welch is “making it OFFICIAL” and that “Pookie is the one for her and she wants the world to know it”; that describes how the episode was promoted, not their current relationship status.
