Ryan Anderson, Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex-husband, said he felt anger, sadness and shock after learning of the reported death of Ken Urker, Gypsy’s former fiancé. In an interview on The Sarah Fraser Show, Anderson said he had asked Gypsy’s father to pass along an offer of support. He also said he did not believe Gypsy was involved—a personal opinion, not an official finding about the case.

In remarks reported by Just Jared on October 2, 2026, Anderson described feeling “anger, sadness, and shock” over the reported death. He said he contacted Gypsy’s father rather than claiming that he had spoken directly with Gypsy: “I texted her dad, just to let him know to tell her that I’m here if she needs me.”

Anderson also said, “Honestly, I don’t think she has anything to do with it.” That is his view, as quoted in the report; it is not evidence establishing what happened or who, if anyone, was responsible.
What is—and is not—established about the death
The available reporting does not establish the official cause or manner of Urker’s death, or what authorities have concluded. Anderson’s comments should be understood as a response to the news and a statement of his own belief, not as an investigative finding. TMZ also reported on Anderson’s interview, but its separate claims about the death should not be treated as official conclusions.

How Anderson and Gypsy’s relationship reached this point
Anderson and Gypsy married in July 2022 while she was incarcerated. CBS News reported that Anderson had first written to her during her prison sentence. Gypsy was released on December 28, 2023, and announced the couple’s separation in late March 2024.
In an April 2024 TikTok, Anderson thanked supporters and said, “Y’all will see what really happened on Lifetime,” as CBS News reported. That earlier comment concerned the separation and is separate from his October 2026 remarks about Urker.

In a June 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Anderson said filming had strained the relationship and that he could not identify one specific cause for the split. Gypsy described the separation as resulting from multiple factors. Those are each person’s recollections, not a single mutually established explanation.
