En febrero de 2019, Grettell Valdéz celebró haber llegado a dos millones de seguidores en Instagram con una foto reveladora y un mensaje de agradecimiento. La palabra «desnudo» apareció en el titular de People en Español, pero la cobertura disponible no confirma que la imagen mostrara desnudez integral.

People en Español informó el 13 de febrero de 2019 que la actriz había alcanzado los dos millones de seguidores y describió una publicación con dos fotos. Según ese medio, Valdéz escribió: «Despertar y ver que ya somos 2 millones en Instagram es de las mejores sensaciones que he tenido».
La nota también atribuyó a la actriz este agradecimiento: «Quiero darles las GRACIAS por ser parte de mi vida y estar en todo momento conmigo». Las Estrellas reprodujo otro fragmento del mensaje: «A lo largo de mi vida he aprendido que no hay nada mejor que ser tú misma, sin máscaras». Las citas se conocen por las notas periodísticas, no por una verificación directa de la publicación original.
Por qué los medios describieron la foto de forma distinta
People en Español empleó «desnudo» en el titular. TVNotas, en cambio, describió la imagen como una aparición sin brasier. Los textos consultados no establecen que hubiera desnudez integral, por lo que «foto reveladora» es una descripción más prudente de la celebración.
