The outlet also reported her recounting her doctor’s statement that the virus could live on doorknobs and railings for about 10 hours. Was the illness related to weight-loss medication?
The Los Angeles Times reported that the illness had “no relation to weight loss medications” Winfrey had recently said she was taking. The paper attributed that information to a person close to Winfrey who was not authorized to speak publicly; the person was not publicly identified.
