Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, with the invitation “Explore Vice City and beyond.” Its synopsis introduces Jason and Lucia, whose attempt at an easy score draws them into a criminal conspiracy across the fictional state of Leonida.
When did GTA 6 Trailer 2 come out?
Rockstar’s Newswire announcement for Trailer 2 is dated May 6, 2025. The announcement’s headline invitation is “Explore Vice City and beyond.”
What does Trailer 2 say about the story?
Rockstar’s synopsis centers on Jason and Lucia, who “have always known the deck is stacked against them.” When an easy score goes wrong, they are pulled into a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida. This is the story setup Rockstar describes; the synopsis does not establish additional plot details or gameplay features.

Rockstar’s official Vice City and character page places Vice City within Leonida. It describes Jason Duval as having worked for local drug runners in the Keys, and Lucia Caminos as newly released from the Leonida Penitentiary and determined to improve her circumstances. These are fictional character profiles from the game’s promotional material.

When is GTA 6 coming out?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI page currently lists the game as “Coming November 19 2026.” That is the planned date displayed on the page, and release schedules can change.
Which platforms did Rockstar name?
In its Trailer 2 announcement, Rockstar lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S under “Wishlist Now.” That announcement identifies those platforms for wishlisting; it does not establish other platform plans.
