The supplied listings point to October 2026, not May. Tubi has announced several October arrivals, while Pluto TV has promoted free on-demand films and a movie channel. Both services describe free viewing, but titles can change and availability may vary by location. Check the service’s current listing before you press play.
What free movie listings are available in October 2026?
These are dated examples, not a complete monthly catalog. Tubi’s official coming-soon page lists announced start dates; Pluto TV’s posts promote particular titles, which should be checked in the app before viewing.

Tubi also lists all four seasons of The Royals as starting October 15, 2026. That is a series rather than a movie, so it is not included in the movie table; see Tubi’s upcoming titles page for the announcement.
How do free movies on Tubi and Pluto TV work?
“Free” does not necessarily mean ad-free. Tubi says it requires no subscription and describes its service as always free; its help information says short ad breaks support the service. Those are Tubi’s own statements, not a promise that every title is available everywhere or remains in the catalog.

On-demand viewing lets you select a film and start it yourself. A linear channel, such as Pluto TV’s Recent Movies channel, follows a schedule, so you may need to wait for a title to air. Confirm which kind of listing you have before settling in.
How to find and watch a film
- Open the service’s official app or website and search for the movie title.
- Check the individual title page for availability in your location and whether it is on demand or part of a scheduled channel.
- If Tubi lists a future arrival date, check again on or after that date; an announced start date does not establish that the title will stay available for the rest of the month.
- Choose a compatible device and start playback. Tubi lists web viewing as well as Android and iOS devices, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Xfinity X1, Xbox, Samsung and Sony smart TVs, and PlayStation.
A new streaming device is not necessary if you already have a compatible phone, television, console or computer. Tubi lists Amazon Fire TV as one supported option, alongside those other platforms.

What to check before choosing a movie
- Date: A future arrival announcement is not the same as a film that is playable now.
- Viewing mode: Look for an on-demand title if you want to start immediately; a channel may show the movie only at a scheduled time.
- Location: The cited listings do not establish worldwide availability. Check the service where you plan to watch.
- Audience: Match the genre and rating to the viewers. A movie’s presence on a free service does not make it suitable for children.
- Catalog changes: Recheck the current service listing, especially when relying on an announcement made ahead of an arrival date.
Is Tubi really free?
Tubi’s official landing page says “No Subscription Required” and “Thousands of movies and TV shows. Always Free. 100% Legal.” Tubi’s help information says short ad breaks support the service. This describes Tubi’s model; it does not establish that all titles are available in every country or that viewing is ad-free.
