Epic Games later said it found no creative intent to connect the dance to the show’s current storyline and planned to change the choreography. As of October 8, 2026, Fortnite’s item-shop page lists the emote as “Currently Not Available”; that status does not establish whether it is permanently gone or usable by people who already own it.
What happened, and why did Fortnite disable the emote?
“Peaceful Hips” was a Fortnite cosmetic based on dance movements in the opening credits of Peacemaker Season 2. The emote debuted in Fortnite on September 15, 2025, according to Ars Technica.
Spoiler for Peacemaker Season 2, episode 6: The September 25 episode, “Ignorance Is Chris,” revealed that the seemingly ideal alternate dimension at the center of the season was a Nazi-ruled America. The flag there replaced its stars with swastikas. In the wake of that reveal, some viewers interpreted the emote’s alternating arm positions as resembling a swastika. That was an audience interpretation of the choreography, not evidence that the partners intended to include Nazi imagery in the Fortnite cosmetic.
On September 28, Epic’s Fortnite Support account announced that it was disabling the emote while it looked into its partner’s creative intentions. Epic also said it would issue refunds if the emote did not return. The initial statement was reported by GameSpot and Ars Technica.

What Epic clarified afterward
On October 1, Epic said it had worked with Warner Bros. Games and found no creative intent to connect “Peaceful Hips” to the current Peacemaker storyline. It still planned to alter the choreography to avoid confusion. Epic also said purchasers could return the emote without submitting a refund ticket. PC Gamer reported the follow-up.
The distinction matters: Epic’s first message said it was investigating; its later message described the result of discussions with Warner Bros. Games and a planned edit. The story was not that Epic confirmed an intentional reference to the episode’s Nazi imagery. Rather, the timing and perceived resemblance prompted a temporary disablement, followed by a clarification and a stated plan to modify the dance.

Is “Peaceful Hips” available now?
As checked on October 8, 2026, Fortnite’s item-shop page labels the emote “Currently Not Available.” That is its shop listing status at the time checked. It does not show when or whether the emote will be offered again, and it does not establish whether existing owners can still use it in-game. Epic’s October 2025 announcement said it planned a choreography change in the following week’s update, but the sources available here do not verify the present in-game version.
