Fox News hosts Lawrence Jones and Emily Compagno ended a remote interview with former Defense Intelligence Agency officer Rebekah Koffler during the network’s live coverage of the U.S. Army anniversary parade on June 14, 2025. The exchange lasted about a minute and a half, according to People. Coverage described Koffler as seeming inebriated, but public reporting does not establish that she was intoxicated or explain conclusively why the interview ended.
What happened during the Fox News interview?
During live coverage of the June 14, 2025 U.S. Army anniversary parade, Jones and Compagno interviewed Koffler remotely. Reports describe her greeting the hosts while initially addressing Fox correspondent Lucas Tomlinson, then speaking about the parade and military service. Jones and Compagno attempted to interject before the exchange ended. People reported that the interview lasted about a minute and a half; Mediaite also covered the exchange and the hosts’ sign-off.
Why did the interview end?
The accounts conflict, and the available reporting does not settle the cause. In a June 15 post on X quoted by People, Koffler said “audio, video during #MilitaryParade were corrupted due to intermittent, slow internet connection.” People reported that an unnamed Fox News source said there “was no connection or audio issues with her hit.” TV Insider also reported the network source’s denial.
The reports provide no independent technical record that confirms either account. Koffler also said her pre-broadcast champagne post was “a joke, intended to boost viewership,” according to People. That explanation does not establish what caused the broadcast exchange to end.

Was Koffler intoxicated?
The reports characterize Koffler’s on-air appearance as seeming inebriated, but appearance-based descriptions are not proof of intoxication. The available coverage does not independently verify that she had consumed alcohol. Her explanation focused on intermittent internet problems, while the reported Fox News response denied connection or audio issues; neither account resolves the question through publicly reported technical evidence.
