The Fortnite x Star Wars crossover launched on May 3, 2024, with update v29.40, bringing themed content to LEGO Fortnite, Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival and Rocket Racing. Its headline additions included Chewbacca in the LEGO Pass and Battle Royale outfits for Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian and an AWR Trooper. The event is now a past launch: its announced dates describe what was available then, not what is currently claimable or in the Shop.
When did the Fortnite Star Wars crossover start?
Epic announced the collaboration on May 1, 2024, and released it on May 3 alongside update v29.40. Epic’s announcement described the launch as: “LEGO® Fortnite | Star Wars begins May 3 with the v29.40 update!” The crossover spanned four Fortnite experiences, though the specific content differed by mode.
Epic’s May 1, 2024 announcement covered the Battle Royale outfits, while its LEGO Fortnite announcement detailed the pass and island.
What Star Wars content came to each Fortnite experience?
| Experience | Announced content |
|---|---|
| LEGO Fortnite | Star Wars-themed builds and decor, the Rebel Adventure LEGO Pass, and Chewbacca as a Premium Reward Track reward. |
| Battle Royale | Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian and AWR Trooper outfits announced for the Item Shop beginning May 3, 2024. |
| Fortnite Festival | Included among the experiences receiving Star Wars content; the cited launch announcement does not specify individual Festival items. |
| Rocket Racing | Included among the experiences receiving Star Wars content; the cited launch announcement does not specify individual Rocket Racing items. |
How did players get Chewbacca in LEGO Fortnite?
Chewbacca was attached to the Premium Reward Track of the LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure. Epic said players unlocked the Outfit by upgrading to the premium track. It had both a LEGO Style and a Fortnite Style. This was a pass reward, distinct from the Battle Royale outfits Epic announced for the Item Shop.

When did the Rebel Adventure pass end?
Epic said players could progress through the LEGO Pass until July 23, 2024, at 8 AM ET. That was the announced progression deadline; it does not establish that Chewbacca or other pass rewards can still be claimed now.
Which Fortnite Star Wars skins featured Lando and Luke?
Epic named three Battle Royale Shop outfits for the May 3, 2024 launch: Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian and AWR Trooper. The announcement confirms their planned Shop availability from that date, but it does not confirm that any of them are in the Shop today. Current rotations and availability should not be inferred from a historical launch announcement.

Is the LEGO Fortnite Star Wars island still available?
Epic said the Star Wars island would remain after update v29.40, unlike the Rebel Adventure pass, which had a stated end to progression. That announcement establishes the island was intended to persist beyond the update; it does not independently verify its status in October 2026. Nor does persistence of the island mean that timed pass rewards remain claimable.
