Former All My Children actor Colin Egglesfield said he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024, his third cancer diagnosis. He said doctors caught it early and that he chose surgery. In January 2026, he told E! News he was cancer-free and feeling well after a prostatectomy; that update describes his health at the time of the interview, not necessarily today.
What cancer did Colin Egglesfield have?
Egglesfield’s third reported diagnosis was prostate cancer. He disclosed it publicly in January 2025, saying the diagnosis had come in 2024. He described the cancer as caught early and said he chose surgery after researching and speaking with health professionals, according to Us Weekly.
His three cancer diagnoses

In an interview reported by E! News on January 22, 2026, Egglesfield said he was cancer-free and feeling well after a prostatectomy, and had been living without the disease for nearly a year. This is his status as reported in that interview; the article does not establish his health after that date. E! News’ interview is the later update.

His message about checkups and screening
Egglesfield urged people to be proactive about their health, make appointments, and not let fear of a possible diagnosis stop them from seeking care. Us Weekly reported that he encouraged men to get their PSA checked regularly.
